This six-step process will help you get started on your way to measuring your website's success:
- Review - Take a cold, hard look at your online business as it is right now. Is it just meeting your goals? Do you have the resources to make this online business grow?
- In 5 Years - Where do you want your business to be in five years? In a perfect world, what do you want your website to accomplish within that time?
- Measuring - Decide what data you really need. If you knew this information your onlilne business would improve.
- The Plan - Of the measurements you decided in the preceding step, what order of importance do you place on it. What would be the most important down to the least important factor.
- Reassess- Now look at your websites again. They'll need a little work. Maybe a lot of work. But it is important work and necessary for a successful website.
